IF only Orwell were still here

I haven't seen or spoken to my buddy, the Chainik Hocker, in quite a while. I saw his new blog site, and must say I like the new Wordpress template a whole lot better than the horrible orange he chose on Blogspot. He posted a Blogthing about how "American" you are, and here's my test results:

You Are 44% American
America: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!

So, I, the freedom loving, pseudo-Jeffersonian anarchy-leaning libertarian, am only 44% American. Jefferson and Payne and the rest are rolling over in their graves.

I managed to score 62%. A few of the questions were difficult to answer for one reason or another.

For example:

11. The best late 20th century American president was:

Carter
Reagan
Clinton

A difficult choice due to their practice of mercantilist and/or socialist practices. Expounding on this sentence is beyond the scope of this post. Another option as to what kind of beer is ingested is unanswerable since I don't drink beer regardless of brand.

If the question of ones patriotism centers around the support of the US government's foriegn policy then I''m certain this managed to lower my score. If true then the question naturally assumes the now 107-year-old foreign policy (beginning with the McKinley administration) holds any validity, which of course it doesn't.

Who do you think you are? Me?

I'm simply an individual who discovered the false history fed to the American people within the public education system and have come to terms with the reality that the leviathan state has usurped true liberty.

To quote a famous American:

"Remember that a government big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take away everything you have."

Interestingly, a google search on that quote finds that it's attributed both to Crockett and to Barry Goldwater.
